Part of what makes this one of my favorite pieces was I knew when to stop. I tend to overly fuss with pieces, continuing with touch-up to the point where I end up making a mess of what had been a great piece. But with this one, I stopped even though I still had the itch to fix the "imperfections," and it's all the better for it.

Title or Location: Mr. Fish
Painted this in an Alexis Cant? online watercolor class. Just starting to venture into the watercolor world, this painting is in memory of a great fish friend I had - Mr. Fish. He was just a tiny little goldfish when I put him in my outdoor pond and in 3 years he was a giant beautiful fancy goldfish. He had great personality to.

Title or Location: Vast Landscape - Sky Study
This piece is a 9 x 12 inch watercolor on Fabriano 140lb cold-pressed paper. This was a result of practicing skyscapes for a commission, added to the "reject" pile. When the commissioned artwork was finished, I went through my pile of practice paintings and was so surprised by this sky. I fell in love with it. The landscape was added to compliment the sky, imaging the view of a bird in flight. It remains one of my favorite watercolor pieces, a reminder of success over perceived failure.

Title or Location: Island Sunset
This 9x12 watercolor was inspired by a photograph of the Turks and Caicos Islands at sunset where she was recently visiting. Plam trees dominate tge scene overlaying the bushes with a peek of the cabanas and calm ocean in the background. You see the sky at sunset with dark rainclouds on the horizon. I painted this piece to exemplify atmospheric landscapes with both energy and tranquility,
